Event Description
This allegorical novel by Noble Prize winning author William Golding reveals how so-called culture and civilization created by man fails. British schoolboys stuck on a deserted island attempt to govern themselves with disastrous results. This theatrical production dramatizes the conflict between individual welfare and the common good. Relevant characteristics and challenges of contemporary society become glaringly apparent as this “novel-turned play” acts as a prism for the 21st century.
