| Poets & Writers - THE PANACEA - an original play by Cynthia Robinson |
|
Event Description
The Panacea is about the things we do in the pursuit of happiness and the importance of self-acceptance. It tells the story of one man’s futile struggle against his authentic self. In the play, a gay man pursues a relationship with an overbearing psychiatrist who specializes in what she calls “conversion therapy.” The Panacea was a finalist for the First Annual Thomas Barbour memorial Playwright’s Award in 2007.
